It is probably Springfield Mall, not the National Mall (Smithsonian). This is not the most picturesque areas of Springfield is the bottleneck routes for travelers in and out of DC.

If your price, you are no problems. If you try to save money ... and can not live without .. more family stays at the Marriott Residence in Old City ... They go from Subway, Old Town ... speeding up justice in the city. In addition, the old city is an ideal place to spend time together.

Also BFAST, lunch, dinner and snacks in the hotel had been included in the price. My brother has a fall of up to $ 119 on weekends, holidays ... So watch out for good prices. It may be useful to save a little more $ $ on food.

Springfield is the opposite. Distance by car is 15 minutes without traffic .... could be an hour or otherwise.

Enjoy your stay.

Springfield is a long way from DC (about half an hour) - If your visit in its own DC (monuments, museums, etc.) then you better try a hotel in the city.

Courtyard by Marriott is convenient and reasonable. You can walk or metro areas.

The metro is open until 11 clock, but closes after this test (for the time - not like New York, where it runs 24 / 7)

You can too Travelocity Travel Sites or at reduced prices.

If you only have two days here, I woudn't stay in Springfield.

Enjoy!
